The 'Jaltski' (Cornus mas 'Jaltski') is a Ukrainian variety characterised by its medium ripening period and excellent fruit flavour. It is a reliable variety with regular yields that is suitable for growing in a variety of climatic conditions.

The fruit ripens in the second half of September and is medium to large, oval or slightly elongated, with a smooth, dark red skin. The flesh is juicy, tender and sweet and sour, making this variety ideal for fresh consumption and processing.

The tree grows moderately vigorously and has good hardiness and drought resistance. The variety is characterised by good adhesion of the fruit to the stem, which prevents premature dropping.

Its excellent flavour and balanced sweetness/acidity ratio make the fruit excellent for direct eating, but also for making jams, compotes, syrups and fruit juices.

The 'Jaltski' is an ideal choice for growers looking for a variety with stable yields, tasty fruit and a wide range of uses.
