- The excellent American peach variety EARLY REDHAVEN is somewhat earlier than REDHAVEN, very similar to it, but its fruit ripens somewhat earlier.
- The tree grows moderately vigorously, the crown can be trained in a cup shape or as a slender spindle. It grows on the St. Julien A rootstock, which is a medium-growing rootstock; the tree is around 35% smaller than the Myrobalan rootstock. It is also suitable for heavier soils.
- The EARLY REDHAVEN peach is a self-fertile variety that flowers abundantly. The harvest is high and regular.
- The tree bears medium-sized, regular and symmetrical fruit weighing 90-120 g. The peaches have an oval shape and are covered with a light yellow, slightly hairy skin, 60-80% of which is covered with a marbled, dotted yellow. The flesh partially separates from the stone. The taste is balanced, sweet and sour, juicy.
- The fruits are large, weighing about 100-160 g, spherical-elliptical, regular, symmetrical. The skin is golden yellow, with a bright red marbling and a dotted rind that covers more than half of the fruit. The flesh is yellow-orange with red grooves near the stone. The flesh is juicy, medium firm, sweet and tart and partially separates from the stone. The fruit ripens at the end of July to the beginning of August, depending on the growing region.
- EARLY REDHAVEN is moderately susceptible to most diseases but, like most peaches, requires preventive monitoring for the occurrence of 'leaf curl'.
- The cultivation of EARLY REDHAVEN has no special requirements. The variety needs a sunny, preferably wind-protected location and prefers a well-drained, fertile soil with a moderate moisture content of 6.5-7.0 pH.
- The peach variety is characterized by good winter hardiness.
