The 'Early Geneva' apple tree on the M26 rootstock is one of the early apple varieties which are popular for their high yield, high quality and compact growth. This combination is ideal for smaller orchards, but also for intensive orchards where early production of quality fruit is important.

'Early Geneva' is a medium-sized apple tree with a symmetrical spherical shape. The skin has a yellow-green base covered with a pale red cheek with a crimson-red coating. The surface of the fruit is smooth and glossy.

The flesh is pale yellow, finely textured, juicy and aromatic. The taste is sweet and sour, refreshing and very tasty, making it ideal for direct consumption.

The M26 rootstock ensures a medium vigour tree, with a compact size suitable for smaller spaces. This combination promotes early fruiting and ensures an early, regular and high yield. Trees on the M26 rootstock have good stability and are easy to shape.

Hardiness and cultivation

The 'Early Geneva' apple tree is frost-resistant and has good resistance to common diseases such as scab and mildew. The trees require regular care to ensure optimum health and a good harvest. This variety is suitable for both organic and intensive cultivation.

The fruit ripens very early - as early as the first half of July. The 'Early Geneva' variety is one of the earliest apple varieties and is therefore the best choice for anyone who wants fresh apples early in the season. The apples are intended for direct consumption and short-term storage.

This variety is ideal for direct consumption, fresh juice production and quick processing. Due to its early ripeness, it is also suitable for sale at farmers' markets or in small gardens for self-picking.
